●What’s Ozuchi village like? 
Ozuchi is a small village in Ishiakawa prefecture consisting of only ten houses, two locals and one cat. 
The place is famous for traditional Japanese houses with red tiles and beautiful step-like rice fields which you can barely find in cities. Various activities have been organized by locals to preserve the beautiful natural woodland and traditional Japanese way of living. Until today more than 400 people from every corner of the world have come and joined such activities to revitalize Ozuchi village. We warmly welcome people who are willing to help passing down Japanese lasting customs and traditions  to next generation.

●What are we going to do? 
We help local farmers to prepare for harvest in summer and autumn. We engage in some farmwork such as rice farming, and planting seed potatoes etc.
*Activities can change depending on the weather and local conditions.

【How to enjoy Ozuchi village】
After the activities, you have some time to relax immersing yourself in the nature world.
You can sleep in a hammock under thousands of stars, and relieve stress in a traditional Japanese bath.
At night you sit around the fire and enjoy some local food with your companies. Here in Ozuchi, stunning nature and warmth of locals will let you escape from hustle and bustle in cities and forget about busy daily life.

Clothes for outdoor activities (long-sleeve shirt, full-length pants)
Work gloves (more than 2pairs)
Rainwear (separate one, ×poncho)

Sleeping bag, Rain boots (You can borrow them but need to apply for in advance)
Sneakers or slippers like Crocs 
Something to drink, some snacks and local food ( for the get-together party)

3500 yen (including accommodation and meals)
*if you like to stay before or after (or othe program, it costs 1000 yen per night. 
400 yen is asked to pay separately for hot spring
