| 背景 |
The local organization Balmes Blancs, a non-profit association was created in 2010 to offer unique activities in nature located in The Vall de Siarb mountains, they host this special camp with us another year. With their shelter located in Llagunes, one of the smallest villages in the valley. They host this camp about territorial conservation, nature, history and path knowdlege. If you love nature and hikes, THIS IS YOUR WORKCAMP! The objective of this volunteer camp is to recover and maintain the old roads of the Siarb Valley, a unique and interesting valley in the heart of the Pyrenees. These paths were used for many centuries until 1960 - 70. They represent a huge heritage and we want to keep them in the valley as an open-air museum. During the camp, participants will discover the surroundings of the Siarb valley, will know the geographical features of the Parc de l’Alt Pirineu and how to frame the valley in the park, they will learn more about the region of Pallars and its idiosyncrasy. |
| 仕事内容 |
We will be working on restoring and improving old roads, specially the roads and paths that the org. Balmes Blancs worked so hard to create: cleaning paths, rebuilding dry stone walls, placing stones and improving trail marks with paint. We will spend the working hours (4 hours/day) in nature, surrounded by forests, fields, etc. The work is mostly manual and physical. The group of participants will collaborate in the cleaning and reconstruction of the old rural roads of the valley, collaborating with the Museum of Paths Project that was created by the entity. Participants will be able to enjoy a unique natural environment in the valley of the High Pyrenees. |
| 宿泊 |
You will sleep in common rooms with bunk beds. There are spaces for you to store your stuff during the camp. You also will have two bathrooms and showers with warm water and fully equipped kitchen. |

Study Theme: The volunteers will get to know the territory, will learn about construction techniques specially the construction of dry stone walls, get to know problems that tourism is causing in the area. Also, they will learn and see a guide to birds and plants of the Vall de Siarb Valley and to know the project of ¨Museu de camins¨ Path museum. |
