| 背景 |
We are running this successful project in the village of Teisani since 2016. We are proud of having many international volunteers returning to our project. The village is situated in a hilly area about 100 km north from Bucharest. Once with a vibrant rural life, the village is changing these days. About a third of the properties are now owned by people from nearby cities who do not actually live there. The number of children dropped dramatically with one of the schools close to its closure. Some children are living in troubled families who are not able to provide them any highlights for their summer vacation and this is where we come in. This project is an initiative of local enthusiasts with the support of local authorities. It aims to bring the world closer to them somehow, to strengthen their strive to get a good education, give a chance to speak English, understand what is valuable in their own village and create the vision of what it may become in the future. |
| 仕事内容 |
We will have about 20 children (aged 7-11) in the camp who will work in groups with volunteers to accomplish the following: ● Facilitate a cultural exchange between volunteers and local kids in the village. ● Organize different games for children, both fun and educational. ● Do some small community work together with children ● Organize a group trip to the nearby mountains and/or a camping evening. |

The volunteers will be accommodated in a facility owned by community. Volunteers may have to prepare their own breakfast and dinner, there is a kitchen available. Lunch is to be served together with kids |

By plane: From Otopeni International Airport (A.K.A. Henry Coanda) take the bus/train to Bucharest main train station, Gara de nord or Bucuresti Nord. It leaves from arrivals terminal ground floor. From there you will take a train to Ploiesti Sud |
| 企画 |
For those interested, there are also a few places the volunteers can visit if inclined, such as the salt mine and horseback riding in a nearby village. These can be arranged after finishing the day's activities with the kids. |

| 資格 |
Because we are working with kids we also need a copy of a recent criminal record. |
| 備考 |
Study Theme: Educating children to get involved in the community, as well as learning English and interacting with volunteers from outside of Romania and finding out more about different cultures and countries, getting to experience as much as possible without having to leave their home place. |
