Workcamp Information Session for International Residents in Japan

● Discover Japan Beyond Tourism! Workcamp Information Session

Are you an international student or foreign resident living in Japan?

Would you like to meet more Japanese people, experience local life, or discover places you would never visit as a tourist?

NICE workcamps bring together people from different backgrounds to live, volunteer, and share experiences with local communities across Japan.

You don't need to speak perfect Japanese or English!
If you are curious about meeting new people and experiencing a different side of Japan, you are very welcome to join this information session.

- What is NICE? What is a workcamp?
We will introduce NICE and explain what international workcamps are, including how they are different from ordinary travel, studying abroad, or other volunteer programs.

- Experience Japan from a new perspective
Work together with Japanese participants and local people, experience everyday life in local communities, and discover a side of Japan that you may not see as a tourist. We will also share examples of activities and the kinds of people who join our programs.

- Find a program that fits you
From short-term projects to longer volunteer opportunities, we will introduce different programs based on how much time you have and what you are interested in.

- Participation fees and other costs
We will explain NICE membership and participation fees, transportation costs, and other expenses you may need to consider. We will also explain what is usually provided during a workcamp, such as accommodation and meals.

- How to join
We will guide you through the process, from choosing a program and applying to preparing for your workcamp. If you are not sure which program is right for you, we can help you find one!

- Q&A
How much Japanese do I need? Can I join by myself? Who usually participates? Feel free to ask us anything you are curious or worried about!
