Kitadani area of Katsuyama-shi, Fukui-ken is one of community at the limits of subsistence due to aging population and depopulation.  “Ohara eco project” has been organized to keep traditional buildings, the original scenery, and traditional culture by local people on 2006. 

In this time, the main work is snow shoveling.  The snow is over 3 meters deep in Ohara due to heavy snow fall area.  The traditional buildings on which renovating are under risks of collapse.  We will snow shoveling to keep traditional buildings out from risks.    
Why don’t you come and join us to have a great time at a wealthy mountain village in snow?
