Activities and attraction of this project:
This Work Camp is “Tanzawa-Ooyama-sizen-saisei-katsudou-renkei-project (Project related to activities for nature regeneration in Tanzawa-Ooyama)” which is cooperated with BMA (Bond-Making Action) and NPO which act for interaction between cities and villages, and for local revitalization.

We will cooperate with NPO Shijyuhassekawa-sizenmura in Hadano-shi in this time.

Winter season is the best season to maintenance of woods for resource of water, because woods sucking less in winter season.  It has been started in full-scale in Tanzawa.  There are more chances in winter season to utilize woods that the maintenance of wood and cutting firewood for charcoal kiln and collecting materials for log house, new base of them.  

We will be able to learn a lot from them because they have long experience in this field.  Let’s enjoy and feel of their “Omoi (minds)” and “Waza (skills)” through work experiences with them.  

In this time, we plan to 
1)maintenance of bamboo woods and manmade woods
2)how to use chain saw 
3) Thinning out of manmade woods
*The tusks will be changed by some conditions. 

We may work for assist to build a log house, maintain of country hills, and shipping of charcoal.  

The site is so fascinating place where participants love to visit by their own.  There is near Tokyo.  You take only 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there from Shinjyuku.  Why don’t you come and join us?  Let’s have fun time even during cold winter season!

Meeting place: At north side exit of Sibusawa-Station on Odakyu-Line.  You can meet us at the front of Bunkyoudou-shoten (Bunkyoudou bookstore) at north side exit.  Please get out of the north side exit of the station and look right.  

Breaking up: Jan.21th(Sun.),2018 16:00 (plan)

Belongings:
Lunch for the first day 
Outfit for cold weather (you need to take solid cold jacket or down jacket because it will be so cold in night and morning at the site.)
A set for spend a night (shampoo, body soap, facial cleansing, tooth brush etc,)
Clothes for 2 day’s work in which you may get dirt
Changing clothes (for go and back and bedtime)
A pair of long boots or sneakers 
A headlight or a flashlight
A hat or a cap
A repellent for bugs 
A pair of gloves (we recommend for them with lubber on the palm side)
Rain suits (separate type)
A canteen or a bottle for drink (we need it to supply water during investigation and transfer)
*It will be cold because of the winter season and high attitude of the site.  Please make sure to take warm outfit.
