Background　
We cooperate this work camp with “Shodo-shima Mirai Kaitaku Project”.  
The work site places deep in the mountains.  You can get there by car at the first part of the way from Sakate harbor of Shodo-shima.   Next you to do is get off the car and walk.  The rough road may surprise you.  You can be feel as “Is this really the road?  Can we go through here?”.  But, yes, you can get the site of the camp place where used to use for the camp site.  There was cultivated carefully by local people and was used for the event named “World Peace Camp” in the past. 
But there has been left because the owner moved to another island from 5 years ago.  That because you can see many driftage on the shore though there is beautiful sea.  The cabin is same as sea shore.  The cabins are very nice but they need to be cleaned up.  The bathrooms are also need clean up because from bugs and sands, the woods are grow thick is an obstacle to views from the cabins.  
“Shodo-shima Mirai Kaitaku Project” started up reproduce the site.  They aim the site to communicating space, nature feeling space, and relaxing space.   And they also aim the site useful space for individual future who participate the work camp.  We appreciate your new ideas how to enjoy the site, how to relive the site, and so on.

Work
1)    Clean up the sea shore
There is a beautiful beach and you can enjoy ocean view.  But there is also some driftage on the shore.  Let’s clean up the sea shore first, so we may enjoy sea side staying!
2)Improvement of the road
The road to the site is very rough and rugged.  The road is getting better than before by volunteer’s work.  We will work more for the road to drive smoothly.  And mudslide occurs sometimes after bad weather, we need to work for them after rain.   
2)    Resurrection of blueberry fields
We work for maintenance of a blueberry field along the road to the site.  We plan to mow before harvesting.

Meeting place: Sakate-kou (Sakate harbor) in Shodo-shima.  We can meet you under the monument which is a dragon on the mirror ball.

How to get meeting place
<in case of coming from Koube area>
You can use a ferryboat from Koube-kou (Koube harbor).  It will leave 8:00 and get Sakate-kou (Sakate harbor) in Shodo-shima at 11:20.  
The fare of the ferryboat is \1990 by each for one-way ticket.

<in case of coming from Takamatsu area>
You can use a ferryboat from Takamatsu-kou (Takamatsu harbor).  It will leave 09:30 in the morning and get Kusakabe-kou (Kusakabe harbor) in Shodo-shima at 10:30.  
The fare of the ferryboat is \690 each for one-way ticket.

After getting off the ferryboat, you can take a bus from Kusakabe-kou to Sakatete-kou.  The bus leaving 10:51 on Tanouraeiga-mura-line of Shodo-shima Olive Bus.  Please get off the bus Sakate-kou bus stop at 11:05.  The bus ticket is \250 each for one-way.

<in case of coming from Okayama>
You can use a ferryboat from Shin-okayama-kou (Shin-okayama harbor).  It will leave 08:30 and get Tonoshou-kou (Tonoshou harbor) in Shodo-shima at 09:40.
The fare of the ferryboat is \1050 each for one way.

After getting off the ferryboat, you can take a bus from Tonoshou-kou.  The bus leaving 10:10 on Tanouraeiga-mura-line of Shodo-shima Olive bus.  Please get off the bus Sakate-kou bus stop at 11:05.  The bus ticket is \300 each for one-way.

Breaking up: Feb.11th(Sun),2018 around 15:00
The ferry will leave Sakate-kou at 15:15 bound for Koube.  
The bus will leave Sakate-kou at 16:09 bound for Kusakabe-kou/ Tonoshou-kou.  

Belongings: Work clothes (solid long sleeve T-shirts, a pair of solid long pants, and a pair of sneakers), A pair of gloves for work (We recommend leather ones.), Rain suits, A sleeping bag, A set for spend a night (clothes, tooth brush, and etc.), A set for take a bath (shampoo, towels, and etc.), Solid outfit for cold weather (It will be so cold at night, so please make sure to prepare warm outfits for cold weather.), A headlamp, A handy flash light (a flash light on mobile phone is not enough), Newspaper, Drink, Rice 2 cup, Lunch for the first day.  
*There is no convenience store at the meeting spot.  Please make sure to take your lunch for the first day and Rice 2 cup.  

Price: Member \2500, Non-member \3000
*Price includes 3 meals, and accommodation fee.  
*Price does NOT include lunch for the first day and party fee.  The party fee will be \300~\500 per each night.  And you need to pay your drink by self-declaration.

*This work camp is popular program.  Please make sure to applicate as soon as you can.  We also accept waiting list after full application.  
*High school students can participate as far as parents approve.
