Takane-corn (Takane corn’s pronouncing in Japanese also means, why don’t you come Takane?)” which is harvested in 1400 meters above sea level tastes sweet as a sugar content of 17 and weights over 400g!  Takane-corn is sweeter than melon!  Takane-corn just after harvest can be eaten fresh level of sweet and delicious!!
We will start to crack and harvest Takane-corn at 6:00 in the morning on Aug.26th (Sat.) and prepare for shipment in this project.
After arriving owners, we will assist and guide of the harvest festival.
Though we will have the harvest again on Sunday morning, you can choose attendance or non-attendance in this time.
As you anticipate, we plan Hida-gyuu(Hida-beef) barbecue party after harvest. 
Great nature surrounded with high mountains and kind local people with smile give you warm welcome whether you are repeater or beginner!



Meeting date and place: Aug.25th(Fri.)19:00 
*In case you cannot make the meeting time, you can meet us till Aug.26th(Sat.)05:00 at Tomenohara-kouminkan (Tomenohara community center) where is meeting place and accommodation place.

Breaking up: Aug. 27th(Sun.) around 08:20 at the site.
You can use Nora-my-car or your own car, or you can stay for volunteer till Sunday noon.  Work will be continued till noon of the day. (But no buses in the daytime.)

Belongings: Rice 1-cup, A pair of gloves (need for harvest), Rain suits (you may wet with morning mist when you harvest), A cap (it will be hot in the daytime), Long sleeve T-shirt (it will be chilly in the morning and the night), A disused towel (use for wipe wet corn with morning mist after harvest), A towel for shower 

Price: \3000 (\500 discount for NICE members)
*Because of participation number floating to price (accommodation will be changed by numbers of participants), the price will be changed.

Memo: It will be better on economy to use expressway bus if you participate from Kantou area.

Take the Nouhi-bus on Asahi-Line at Takayama-eki bus terminal on Asahi-line leaving at 17:10 (next bus at 18:35)
Asahi-sishomae arriving at 17:40 (next bus at 19:05)
Change the bus to Noramaika-Takane –chiiki leaving at 17:45 (next at 19:10)
Get off the bus at Tomenohara-kouminnkanmae at 18:50 (next at 20:05)
*The buses after Asahi-sishomae need to make reservation in advance.    
* No buses on Saturday and Sunday.  Please get the site by your own when you will participate from Saturday.
