[Jun.3rd(Sat.)-Jun.4th(Sun.),2017] RICE PLANTING IN YATSUDA (THE RICE FIELD OF WETLAND IN A VALLY)!

2017/06/03

Date: Jun.3rd(Sat.)~Jun.4th(Sun.),2017
Place: Yasato Isioka-shi, Ibaraki-ken

Activity and attraction of this project:
We will plant rice by hand in YATSUDA (rice field of wetland in a valley).  We plant rice using traditional hand way as to grow race plant nursery.  Because of the rice fields in YATSUDA become muddy in places, they needed for handwork.  As if you experience YATSUDA fields, you can plant rice all over the world.  YATSUDA rice fields are world standard!!

Recently the rice fields in YATSUDA have been abandoned because of heavy hand works, so natural circulation system between mountains (“Satoyama (country hills)”) and the sea are diminishing its functions.  Please contact us people who are interested in environmental problems and the role of YATSUDA.  We are also welcome you who simply want to be muddy under blue sky, or who with a lot of gut.

We plan to have an ENKAI party with organic vegetables and rice harvested in this farm at night.  The main dish will be curry.  Let’s have fun with us!
