Activities and attraction of the work camp:
We have had work camps four times since December on 2015.  We have worked for maintenance of the castle traces, rice planting, rice reaping and harvest mandarin oranges.  Participants said about the work camp as following.  “The work in nature was so good!” “Building steps for the castle traces was fresh and the first experience for me!” “The interact with Kyogikai (conference) members who are eager to act was an incentive and a big fun for me!”

We plant to plant rice in this time as same as last year of this season.  There will be the event named “Oyako-de-tanoshimu-okome-zukuri (Let’s enjoy grow rice event for parents-children)” on Jun.10th.  Why don’t you come and join to interact with children and to plant rice?

What is “Maruko-machizukuri-kyougikai (Maruko conference for town liven up)”?
Maruko places in Shizuoka-shi, Shizuoka-ken.  There is country side moderately and there was one of the “SHUKUBA-MACHI (town serving as a stage)” of “TOUKAIDOU-GOJYUSANTSUGI ( 53 towns of the main road from Edo to Kyoto)”.  
Maruko area have had some project aim to the attractive town from babies to elders.  The environmental section have had some events as rice planting for parents-children, rice reaping lecture, maintenance of bamboo forest, grow soba, “Soba-uchi (soba making)”, clean up roads for farming.  
We have some problems at issue as workers, preservation of farm fields, and so on.  We plan to hear ideas from participants to improve and hints of solution.

*Accommodation will be a community center.  

We recommend for people who are interested in farming, local revitalization, and “SHUKUBA-MACHI” of “TOUKAIDOU-GOJYUSANTSUGI”.  We are looking forward to seeing YOU!!

Meeting time: Jun.10th (Sat.),2017 9:00

Meeting place: Shizuoka-Station on JR-Line.  We can meet you at the front of rotary police station out of the north side exit.  

Breaking up: Jun.11th (Sun.),2017 around 13:00

Belongings: Suitable clothes for work in which you may get dirt (a pair of short pants will be better for rice planting), Towels, A set for spend a night (shampoo will be equipped at a spa), A sleeping bag, Lunch for the first day (you better take lunch which you can eat easily)
*Local people may give some “BUTAJIRU (miso soup with plenty of vegetables and pork meat)” to participants as a recognition of your services.

*Price includes spa cost.  
*Participants with your own car will be able to get special price taking shuttle tusks.  
*Volunteer’s insurance:  NICE members already have one.  We will entry procedure for volunteer’s insurance at once if you should not have one.  Please let us know about it.  The price for insurance will be charged \300 adding on your price.
