●活動内容・魅力：
美味しい空気とご飯、あったかい人々と充実の週末を過ごしてみませんか♪
富山県氷見市八代地区は、豊かな森と気候に育まれ、
自然薯、氷見牛、低たんぱく米の名産地です。
また、地域で「八代環境パトロール隊」を構成するなど、
地域課題解決に向けての取り組みも盛んです。
しかし、人口が700人強、高齢化率が40％を超える
過疎化の進んでいる地区でもあります。
地域では、特産品の担い手不足による生産量の減少という課題があります。
また、地域や特産品についての新たなPRアイディアを求められています！
全国から集まったボランティアパワーで
貴重な地域の魅力づくりのお手伝いをしましょう☆

＜ワーク内容＞
●自然薯畑の手入れ
後継者がいなくなっても、地域の特産品を守りたい！
美味しい美味しい自然薯を栽培するのは齢80才のおじいちゃん。
自然薯の豆知識を学びながら、貴重な自然薯を収穫します。
●林道整備
長い長い林道を整備(雑草雑木除去など)する人の高齢化により、
地域の大切な道が使えなくなっています。
＜宿泊場所＞
地域の公民館をお借りします。
大きな和室と、小さな和室があります。
お風呂は手作りのヒノキ風呂！(とっても贅沢)
キッチン、水洗トイレ完備。
初めての参加者も過ごしやすい空間です。
＜お楽しみ＞
満点の星空と、美味しい海の幸山の幸も楽しめます！
地域の方とのアツい交流会は、毎回大盛り上がり！
心のふるさとになる参加者多数です◎

＊電車ご利用の方は 11:12 高岡駅発の JR氷見線氷見行き電車にご乗車下さい。
＊遠方の場合は集合時間の相談に応じます。
●集合場所：JR氷見駅
＊自家用車歓迎！
●解散時間：4日(月・祝) 12:00ごろ
●持物：長袖長ズボン、防寒着(特に朝晩冷え込みます)、帽子、軍手(2組以上)、しっかりした靴/長靴、タオル、マイボトル、地元のおみやげ 1品(あれば)、Big smile!
＊一部、山中の茂みの中でのワークもありますので、登山用(もしくはそれに準ずる)服装、靴、その他装備もお持ち下さい。

Weekend workcamp in HIMI, helping local people harvest wild yam!
◯ Dates: second - forth of November, 2019
* Partial participation acceptable.
◯ Descriptions:
Yashiro district in Himi city, Toyama, - the camp site - is surrounded by rich nature in the mountain between Toyama and Kanazawa cities. Jinenjo, wild yam in English, is one of the famous foods in Yashiro district as well as the Himi Beef and the Low-Protein Rice.
Recently, local people are loosing their production capacity year by year, because of their ages and lack of young successor. They organises an NPO group called “Yashiro Patrol Team” to solve their issues, and the team members and the other locals cooperate very well. Still, people in Yashiro are struggling in decreasing population and farming field becoming wild.

* We will work in rough areas of mountain.
Wearings and items for mountain trekking are recommendable.
