🌿 Weekend Work Camp in Ozuchi Volunteers Wanted! 🌿

Looking for a unique experience in a hidden village surrounded by nature? Join us for a weekend work camp in Ozuchi,a remote village in Ishikawa, where time slows down, and traditions live on! 🌸  

📅 Date:April 19 (Sat) – April 20 (Sun), 2025  
📍 Location:Ozuchi, Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa  
👥 Capacity:Around 10 people (families and friends welcome, but please inquire in advance)  
💰 Participation Fee:¥4,000 per person (includes meals, accommodation, insurance, and operational costs)  
   ※ Onsen fee (around ¥500) not included  
   ※ Alcohol and snacks not included—please bring your own or share the cost with others  

What is Otsuchi?
A small village with only 10 houses, 1 resident… and 1 🐈  
Here, you'll find traditional red-tiled houses, fresh mountain water, and stunning terraced rice fields. Volunteers from around the world have been working to preserve Otsuchi for future generations. Now, with a focus on sustainable farming and self-sufficiency,we hold regular work camps powered by volunteers to revitalize this special place!  

🔨 What will we do?
We’ll be preparing the fields for the next season,planting and maintaining vegetable gardens, chopping firewood for the irori (traditional fireplace), and cleaning up old houses in the village. Since Otsuchi has only one resident, volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the community. Let’s get our hands dirty and help keep this beautiful place alive!

April 19 (Sat)
- 13:10 Meet at JR Kaga Onsen Station & depart for Otsuchi  
- 14:00 Orientation  
- 15:00-17:00 Work  
- 19:00 Dinner &comunity time

April 20 (Sun)
- 08:00 Breakfast  
- 09:00 Cleaning & Work  
- 12:00 Lunch  
- 13:00 Depart from Otsuchi  
- 14:00 Onsen & sightseeing (optional)  

🎒 What to Bring
✔ Clothes that can get dirty (long sleeves & pants)  
✔ Rain gear (separate top & bottom recommended)  
✔ Warm jacket (it gets chilly in the morning/evening)  
✔ Two pairs of work gloves  
✔ Toiletries & towels  
✔ Sleeping bag (rental available)  
✔ Rubber boots (rental available)  
✔ One dish or snack to share at the irori  
✔ Sandals (for easy slip-on use)  
✔ Swimsuit (for river play or drum-can bath)  
✔ A little courage& a sense of adventure

⚠ Important Notes
- Take care of yourself and each other! Stay mindful of injuries, heatstroke, and hygiene.  
- The village has uneven terrain and some slippery areas—please be cautious.  
- If you need to arrive late or leave earlylet us know in advance.
