INTO THE WILD PROVENCE

Come and help set up a care center for wild animals!
The TOTEM association welcomes you to an international work camp in sunny Le Pradet, where you can join other volunteers on a project to set up a wildlife care center and preserve local biodiversity.
The project is located in the commune of Le Pradet, on land belonging to the Conservatoire du Littoral, and includes 2 buildings to be completely renovated to become care buildings.

Program:
Construction of dry-stone walls to demarcate areas, construction of animal shelters, restoration of antique furniture (1800), landscaping of outdoor areas, organization of garage sales with the commune to present the TOTEM project and international workcamps, creation of a fresco inside the building...

It's a great opportunity to discover the region and meet some unforgettable people!

Le Moulin seigneurial d’Eymet

地域の歴史家や協会のメンバーの協力を得て、エイメの象徴的な遺産の保存に参加。ミル内の石壁に伝統的な石灰塗装を施す技術を持った職人の指導の下で学び、屋外パティオの整備を行う。具体的には、雑草取り、木製床の設置、取り外し可能な日除けの設置、古い壁の修復。また、専門家の指導の下で川沿いの特有の植物について学び、ミルの半島でそれらの手入れも行う。町の大きなイベントである「建築遺産とミルの祭り」のデザインと運営に参加。

Bring the Medieval Fortress Back to Life (1)

要塞周辺では、さまざまな修復作業を行う。技術指導者のもと、伝統的な技術を学びながら、以下の作業を担当することになる。①石積みのメンテナンス(壁の目地の除去と再施工、石灰と砂のモルタル作り、道具の扱いなど)、②木工作業(安全柵の補修、パレットを使ったリラックススペースの設営など)、③要塞周辺の環境整備(藪の伐採、低木の剪定、菜園の手入れ、簡易トイレの修繕など)など

The seigniorial mill at Eymet

ハイキングコース沿いにある井戸の美化と修復に参加。現在、コンクリートブロックの壁とタイルに隠されている井戸の元の輝きを取り戻す。周囲の構造を解体、保護用の屋根を再建、既存の屋根を強化。井戸とその周辺の清掃し、整備。地元の住民と一緒に作業を進め、ドルドーニュ地方の活気ある村の典型的な温かくお祭りのような雰囲気を体験する。

The reconstruction of Neige et Merveilles

一緒に石で作られた倉庫を建てる。この場所にはすでに古いスラブと土台となる壁があり、これらの上に倉庫を建設する予定。このスラブを取り扱い、倉庫の基礎を作り始める。

再建作業は、現地の石を使用し、建物が周囲と調和するようにこの場所の他の建物と同じ方法で行う。作業は1週間に4日、午前8時30分から12時まで、午後2時から5時まで。この作業には特別な技術は必要なく、技術監督が指導する。

Building a scene and organising an ecological festival

このワークキャンプでは、村の発展における重要な一歩、つまり新しいユルトの建設とVir'Voltフェスティバルの開催に参加する
村では4年目となるフェスティバルを開催に向け、木製の家具やエコロジカルな装飾の作成、ワークショップの開催を通じて、Vir'Voltフェスティバル開催に協力する。
木で作られた遊具の建設に参加し、フェスティバルに訪れる子どもたちや、地域の子どもたちのためのレジャーセンターでの活動に役立つものを制作する。

Culture, Cuisine, Children's City - Join in and cook with and for children in a unique project!

All children who come to the city playfully practise a profession. For example, there are Firemen/women, Bakers, Policemen/women or Craftsmen/women. The children get an impression of the working life of adults, earn play money and spend it on services, products and food. The task of the SCI volunteers is to run the Kinderstadt catering together with the children. Together with the children, they prepare food, take care of the ambience at mealtimes and are welcome to incorporate their own culture. The tasks also include the logistics of the kitchen, such as washing the dishes. There is also support work for the Children's Town, such as setting up and dismantling the tents and stalls.

Skyline Swing - Bernau

You will work on the "Hochtalsteig" (High Valley Trail), a 16km award-winning circular hiking trail through the heights of the Black Forest with beautiful views. There you find the 'Neumannsh?tte', a hiking/shelter hut situated at a vantage point above our valley and directly on the much-travelled ‘Hochtalsteig’ hiking trail. This hut needs to be renovated.

Your tasks include:
? Replacing the wood panelling of the hut: You will remove old wood panelling, cut new wood to size and seal it with protective coating.
? Upgrading the barbecue area: You will create new seating made of wood or natural stone.

Additionally, you will help build a panoramic swing. Your tasks here include:
? Building the panoramic swing: Prepare the site, manufacture, assemble and secure the wooden swing and create a visual design as an ‘insta-spot’ with panoramic orientation.

You will work under the professional guidance of staff from the municipal service department. Please be prepared for long outdoor activities.

Na Fir Bolg! A solidarity and alternative festival

ハードワーク。フェスティバル開催前、ボランティアは後方支援として、水道や電気設備の設置、会場周辺の柵の設置、ステージやバックステージの設置などを行う。これらの作業が完了後は、装飾やポスターなどフェスティバルの最後の仕上げを手伝う。フェスティバルの期間中、ボランティアは自由にコンサートに参加し、フェスティバルの生活を楽しむことができます！フェスティバル終了後は、会場の解体や清掃を手伝い（通常2日、長くても3日間）片付けが終わると、残りの日程はベルギーの都市や地域の文化訪問にあてられます。
作業時間が予定より長くなる日もありますが、1日6時間を超えることはありません。

Utopiacity- Building the future today

With an area of around 40,000 square metres, the Utopiastadt Campus offers space for all kinds of urban games. In addition to the big topic of bicycles (rental, repair, cargo bike and electric drive), this also includes our wonderful Caf? Hutmacher, a small coffee roastery, an open workshop for the neighbourhood, a small garden, lots of open space to create your own designs and even a real circus tent.
Just across the bike lane there is a living lab project for sustainable housing (https://livinglabnrw.uni-wuppertal.de/). In 2022 university teams from all over the world came to Wuppertal to plan, build and operate solar houses with a neutral or even positive energy balance for future-proof and sustainable building and living in the city. One of this houses is given to Utopiastadt. So the work is dismantle the barrier-free access and terrace of one of the houses (which unfortunately has to be scrapped) and rebuild it on another (which is to be put into operation under Utopiastadt)

Build Green Minds in Horb

The community of Horb is counting on your help to build a Recycling Station for kids. In addition you will help to extend and improve other parts of the town’s public infrastructure. Your specific tasks will be:

- Construction of a recycling station in two municipal kindergartens
- Renovation of a tool shed (woodworking tasks)
- Renovation of the playground area in a kindergarten
- Renovation of the care centre building in a primary school

The work will be led by a professional instructor, so no previous experience is needed. You will work 30 hours per week, between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Friday with a lunchbreak. You will also be divided in smaller groups throughout the days to effectively complete the different tasks.
