背景 Become part of the first international volunteering project in M?tzingen - your support is urgently needed!

Many local volunteers have built together with the municipality a large recreational area for all generations: The citizens are proud of it and it is very well used by children, young people, families and local associations. It is a place to be outside, meet up and have fun. On the grounds you will find a barbecue hut, a great adventure playground with a rope net pyramid, pirate ship, slide tower with tube slide, a football pitch, two beach volleyball courts, a small playing field with a synthetic surface, two beach volleyball courts, a mud area for small children, a chess field, a table tennis table and a boccia court.

However, maintaining the large facility is more time-consuming than previously thought. That's why everyone is looking forward to your international support. Other tasks for and with children, young people, families and senior citizens in M?tzingen will complement the project. In addition to the work, the international dimension is an important motivation for the project - be prepared for a lot of exchange and immerse yourself in the everyday life of a German village.
仕事内容 For kids, youth, families and senior citizens - be ready for a colourful mix of tasks. The whole village of M?tzingen will benefit from your work. The focus will be on care and maintenance work on the large leisure area for all generations.

You will maintain and renew play equipment, restore the sports facilities such as the two beach volleyball courts or the boccia court, create benches and picnic areas and much more. There is plenty to do on the huge site, you will be sawing, painting, hammering, drilling, shovelling, mowing.... The work will be supervised by community workers and local volunteers.

Other smaller projects in the area of landscape maintenance and public green spaces will complement your tasks. You will probably also be able to support holiday activities for children in M?tzingen on individual days, but this is not yet entirely clear.
宿泊 You will stay in a building of the municipality, which until June is still home to the ‘Villa Pusteblume’ kindergarten. Here you will find everything you need for everyday life, a small kitchen, space to sleep and chill out, a small outdoor area and sanitary facilities with a shower. If required, additional showers can be used in the neighbouring fire station. Of course, you can also enjoy the leisure area yourself, which is only a few metres away. Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow (if required). Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.
場所 M?tzingen. M?tzingen is an up-and-coming municipality with just under 4,000 inhabitants between Stuttgart and the Black Forest. Many young families move here to combine a life in the countryside with a good infrastructure and work in the industrial region of Stuttgart.

M?tzingen itself has everything you need for your daily needs: a supermarket, other shops, a pharmacy, schools, a library, a youth club and many leisure activities. The neighbouring towns of Nagold and Herrenberg with their historic old towns are well worth a visit.
集合場所 Please arrange your journey to the bus stop ‘Rathaus, M?tzingen’, for which you will be directed via Stuttgart and Herrenberg railway stations. From Herrenberg the bus 790 goes once an hour to M?tzingen. You can check for connections from anywhere to M?tzingen on: www.bahn.com/en.. Nearest airport is STR. Nearest train or bus station is Herrenberg.
