背景 Live in and help organise a local community festival, Apple Day, in the Southern Tablelands NSW.

The Tallong Community Focus Group (TCFG) organises the annual Tallong Apple Day Festival as well as other community engagement activities, such as the maintenance of community parks and gardens. The Apple Festival not only commemorates the rich local history but also serves as a joyful gathering for community members. All proceeds from the event go back to community projects, helping to improve local facilities and support town initiatives.



Join a team of 6 volunteers from the 22nd September ? 4th October.
Participation Fee: $150 payable on arrival (covers food, insurance, other costs related to organising this camp).
仕事内容 Preparation and set up, event management, pack-up afterwards. Volunteers should be prepared for physical work, including some medium to heavy lifting. You will work alongside local community volunteers under the guidance of a supervisor and a volunteer manager.
宿泊 You will be staying in comfortable cabins provided by a local school recreation area. Volunteers will prepare meals together, with some meals provided by local volunteers. Lunch will be provided at the Community Hall alongside committee members. A visit to a local shop will be arranged for volunteers to purchase any necessary items.

主催者・支援機関詳細 1920年に設立された世界最古のワークキャンプ団体SCIのオーストラリア支部。1945年に開始。建物を平和団体等とシェア。アクティブ会員主体で活動中。
企画者・参加者の声 　「モンゴル」に憧れて参加。期待を裏切らない大自然。野菜の収穫は楽しかったけど、建設と水やりは少し寂しかった…不慣れながらも大人数の食事を準備したこと、みんなで文句を言いながらもやかんでお湯を沸かしてシャワーを浴びたこと、寒い中で星を見たこと、ささいな瞬間全てが「非日常」だった（経験者談）。
