背景 Foundation Proyecto Ecol?gico Chiriboga is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, with no religious, racial or political conflicts, and is legally constituted by Ministerial Agreement No. 47 of the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador-South America on March 19, 1999.
Our main objective is environmental protection and conservation, promoting the development of communities whose activities are related to the environment and the development of the local economy.
Helping people become aware of the importance of reforestation and agriculture in the area, with the support of the community, foreign volunteers and the participation of government institutions related to urban conglomerations, the environment, quality of life, equitable relations between the population and its environment.
仕事内容 The volunteers gonna provide medicine and vitamins to the specimens in recovery. It includes wildlife hospitalization activities. They collect fruits and plants and prepare the food for the specimens. Releasing the animals into their habitat with the release group.
宿泊 Volunteers live in a volunteer house together. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. In the project does exist access to internet and facilities for laundry.
場所 Santo Domingo de los Ts?chilas. This wildlife rescue center is located in a natural conservation farm in the canton of La Concordia - Province of Santo Domingo de Los Ts?chilas - Ecuador.
集合場所 Foundation Proyecto Ecol?gico Chiriboga, to receive an orientation meeting. Nearest airport is UIO. Nearest train or bus station is Santo Domingo.

資格 Age 18-70. The Wildlife Rescue Center was created by Mr James Brown Sweeney, a North American living in Ecuador since the year 1940 and pioneer in agricultural production in the territory of Santo Domingo de Los Ts?chilas. This Center is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating endangered wildlife, and after its rehabilitation reinserting it into its natural environment. The objective is, save wildlife and restore the right to freedom. This wildlife rescue center is located in a natural conservation farm in the canton of La Concordia - Province of Santo Domingo de Los Ts?chilas - Ecuador. We receive animals from different organizations like, from the National Police, the Ministry of the Environment, Environmentalists, NGOs or any agent that has a species that is wild fauna.
As this is a Wildlife Rescue Center, it is a kind of hospital for Rehabilitation and Release, it is a permanent program who works from January 2nd to December 23rd of every year.
The volunteer activities are as follows:
- Be part of the specimen rescue group (go out to the different places that are required to capture or recover a specimen)
- To assist in the reception and checking the animal´s status on arrival.
- Provide medicines and vitamins to the specimens in recovery.
- Neonatal feeding
- Control, monitoring and data collection of specimens in recovery.
- Veterinary assistant.
- All wildlife hospitalization activities
- Market activities and fruit collection for the pantry of the specimens
- Preparation of the food,
- Prepare diets for recovering specimens
- Feed the different specimens in recovery
- Environmental education and guidance to groups.
- Possible maintenance activities on paths and cages.
- Be part of the specimen release group to release the animals into their habitat when needed. (Go out to different parts of the country if it is necessary)
- Office activities.
Type: Permanent.: From January 2nd to December 23rd of every year
Age: Older than 18.
Language: Spanish is necessary - English.
Minimum time of participation: 12 weeks up to 1 year
Accommodation: In the project in the volunteer house
Schedule: Work is from 08h00 to 17h00 WITH 1.30 hours for lunch time, the volunteer should be flexible with the schedule in emergencies with animals after and before working hours or during the nights if it is necessary.
Program fee: 1.500,00 American dollars, must be paid at your arrival before going to the project.
Cost includes: 12 weeks of accommodation in the volunteer house of the reserve, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, internet access, facilities for laundry.
Cost does not include: Any kind of transportation, bottled water, extra food and beverages, calls.
What to bring: Long trousers, long sleeves T-shirts, T-shirts, towel, rain jacket, cap, rubber boots, items for personal hygiene, sunblock, mosquito repellent etc.
PUBLIC SERVICES: There is water, electricity, telephones. Internet wiffi after working hours, laundry facilities or you can wash your clothes by hand.
TROPICAL DISEASES: During the winter season there is presence of Zika, malaria and dengue

企画者・参加者の声 　「モンゴル」に憧れて参加。期待を裏切らない大自然。野菜の収穫は楽しかったけど、建設と水やりは少し寂しかった…不慣れながらも大人数の食事を準備したこと、みんなで文句を言いながらもやかんでお湯を沸かしてシャワーを浴びたこと、寒い中で星を見たこと、ささいな瞬間全てが「非日常」だった（経験者談）。
