背景 ザクセンハウゼン記念館は、ドイツで最大規模の強制収容所のひとつであり、1936年にベルリン近郊にナチス親衛隊（SS）によって建設されました。ここでは、ヨーロッパ各地から20万人以上の人々が収容され、非人道的な労働を強いられ、多数が死亡あるいは虐殺されました。

1945年の解放後、この地には**ソ連の秘密警察が「特別収容所第7号／第1号」**を設置し、元ナチス関係者や政治的反対者の収容に使用されました。

現在、ザクセンハウゼンは追悼、学び、研究の場として運営されています。
仕事内容 第1週：
ザクセンハウゼン記念館を訪問し、元強制収容所の歴史を学びます。
第2週：
音楽・サウンドワークショップに参加（ご自身の楽器または音楽ツールをご持参ください）。
ラーベンスブリュック記念館（かつて最大の女性用強制収容所）を訪れます。
第3週：
ザクセンハウゼンがソ連の特別収容所として使われていた時代に焦点を当て、元収容者との証言セッションにも参加します。
宿泊 宿泊施設： あなたはユースホステルに宿泊します。この建物は、歴史的なザクセンハウゼン強制収容所の敷地内にあり、1938年に強制収容所の監察官の公式住居として建設されました。記念館センターからは約2キロの距離です。 寝袋を持参する必要はありません。シーツと寝具は提供されます。共有の部屋で、広めのスペースで寝ることができます。洗濯機と乾燥機は、小額の料金で利用可能です。 食事： ホステルにはグループ用の大きなキッチンがあります。 料理だけでなく、後片付けもする準備をしてください 。この作業は、グループ内のキッチンチームが担当します。 ボランティアは、自分たちで食事を作る必要があります。ぜひ、あなたの国の簡単なレシピを持参して、他のボランティアとシェアしてください！
場所 ザクセンハウゼンはオラニエンブルクの一部で、ベルリンの北約33キロの位置にあります。
ザクセンハウゼンは、ドイツで最も早く建設された強制収容所のひとつで、1936年に建設されました。
ここには、ナチス政策に反対したドイツ人、同性愛者、いわゆる反社会的な人々、犯罪者、ユダヤ人、そして戦時中には占領された国々から来た人々が収容され、強制労働を強いられ、多くが命を落としました。

企画 ボランティアは自転車に乗れることが求められます。いくつかの短いおよび長い自転車ツアーが予定されています。 自転車は提供されますが、ヘルメットは必須ではありません。 自由時間には、ベルリンやポツダムに行くことができます。 周辺には多くの森や湖があり、ウォーキングやサイクリング、リラックスすることができます。 ただし、自由時間の活動内容は参加者のアイデアに基づいて決定されます。
資格 26才以下　学習パート：

1930年代および1940年代のドイツとヨーロッパの歴史や記念活動に興味を持っていることが求められます。

これらのトピックについて、国際的なグループでディスカッションする意欲があることが重要です。

For this Workcamp it is necessary to have very good English skills as we will get a lot of information about the time of Second World War! ____________________________________________ This project is composed of a volunteering team, supported by the European Solidarity Corps program of the European Union. Compared to the usual workcamp participation scheme, some main financial and administrative differences must be underlined: For Sending Organizations: “Due to high costs and the lack of additional funding, we are unable to cover a sending fee on top of the ESC travel allowance (lump sum based on travel distance) that can be allocated to the sending organization for its volunteers. Unfortunately, this is the only way we can continue to run ESC teams in the capital of Germany.” ATTENTION PLEASE: This project is open to all volunteers that fit the ESC criteria presented on the ESC webpage: https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity/mission_en - Volunteers do not have to pay any fee (no sending, nor participation fee) to attend the project - Volunteers need to enroll in the PASS, the European Solidarity Corps Portal; We will organize your matching in the portal with the volunteering project. - Volunteers will receive pocket money, calculated on basis of the rate of our country ------ For Sending Organizations: “Due to high costs and the lack of additional funding, we are unable to cover a sending fee on top of the ESC travel allowance (lump sum based on travel distance) that can be allocated to the sending organization for its volunteers.
