背景 Agricultural high school is founded in 1956. and from that moment it works constantly with youth on important topic like the producing food is. The school is regional center and it offers many opportunities for those who need to obtain certain knowledges in the field of plant and animal treatments. Since 2002. it aims to modernize its methods, so that is why they try to participate in many different projects, in order to give to the local youth wider perspectives on life.

Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. Voluntary Service of Serbia is a volunteer exchange service center founded in 1990 as one of the sectors of YRS.
仕事内容 Since the school is regarded as place where many important activities are happening, it is also notable that many local organizations have strong connection with it. The same will be in this case, as well. Since the project can be defined only by 3 areas on this platform, we can't describe everything that will happen, but here we can write more on that. Volunteers will do many tasks in cooperation with many associations in Po?ega. With those of social character, it will be decided which families are in need for additional support, so that volunteers can help to those in danger with their regular activities. Then there will be some visit to the local association for those with cerebral paralysis (help and workshops should be done there). Also, volunteers will be participating in the activities with local Gerontological center, where they will take care of the garden, but also meet older people that will be glad to see the guests. Still, we shouldn't forget that there will be things to do in school's yard, as well, with picking up the raspberries (one of the Serbian national fruits) and blackberries (another among many; Serbia is simply the land of fruits). Planting seeds, taking out the bad plants, feeding the animals-just few of planned actions that will be done during the stay in this marvellous place.
宿泊 The volunteers will be accommodated in the school dormitory in the rooms with 2-3 beds and bathroom (practically-3 stars hotel). Linen will be provided. Food will be prepared together in the kitchen of the dormitory. The workshops on making Serbian traditional meals will be organized several times.
場所 . Po?ega is a cute place in rich with nature territory of Western Serbia. It has nice center where volunteers can feel the real town atmosphere (it is very alive, especially during the summer). Still, the school itself is located a little bit outside of it, surrounded by parks, so the volunteers can have free time to relax. School has sports fields for recreation. The town has swimming pool, so maybe some hot days can be spent there.

There is possibility to have certain excursions in the area, but more on that will be provided in the Infosheet.

The only thing we will recommend to take with you on this adventure is patience and smile and it will be an eternal pleasant memory!
集合場所 The meeting point will be cited in the Infosheet.. Nearest airport is BEG. Nearest train or bus station is Although there is local airport in Kraljevo relatively close to Po?ega, the airport of Belgrade is the most probable option, since it has connection with the whole world (Kraljevo only to Thessaloniki, Istanbul, Vienna and Tivat). From Belgrade (and Kraljevo, as well) there are many departures for Po?ega daily..
資格 Age 18-103. There are no specific requirements, but if you want to make your life easier, bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.
