背景 "Laiks Jaunie?iem" (Time for Youth) is a dynamic organization committed to empowering and supporting the youth of our community in their personal, educational, and social development. Our mission is to provide a diverse range of activities, events, and services designed to promote the well-being and growth of young people.

仕事内容 Volunteers will support the local NGO Time For Youth in a variety of meaningful and engaging activities aimed at children, youth, and families. The main tasks include:

Children’s Summer Camp (for Ukrainian Refugee Children aged 7?17): Volunteers will help organize and lead cultural and creative activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling sessions, providing a fun and supportive environment for the children.

Youth Festival ? "Create. Experience. Be Together.": Volunteers will assist in the preparation and implementation of the festival, taking part in leading games, running creative workshops, and encouraging intercultural dialogue and active participation among young attendees.

Family Festival: Volunteers will contribute to organizing and facilitating entertaining and creative activities for families, such as workshops, interactive games, and performances, helping to create a welcoming and joyful atmosphere for people of all ages.

This workcamp is a great opportunity to gain experience in non-formal education, event organization, and intercultural exchange, while supporting meaningful social inclusion initiatives for refugee and local communities.
宿泊 Volunteers will be hosted in an open youth centre, which provides all necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. The accommodation includes a shared kitchen for cooking, as well as access to toilets and showers. Volunteers should be prepared for simple but functional living conditions in a communal environment, promoting teamwork and cultural exchange.
場所 Bauska. The workcamp will take place in Bauska, a charming town known for its rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and beautiful natural surroundings. Located in the heart of the city, the camp will be hosted at the "Laiks jaunie?iem" Energy Station. This lively and welcoming youth centre provides the perfect environment for dynamic activities, creativity, and shared experiences.

Bauska offers plenty to explore during your free time: from the picturesque Bauska Castle and the scenic banks of the M?sa and M?mele rivers, to local cafes, parks, and cultural sites. The town’s central location makes it easy to discover both nature and history, giving you a deeper insight into Latvian culture.

Leisure time will include opportunities for social activities with other volunteers, excursions in and around Bauska, and moments to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. We aim to make your stay not only meaningful but also memorable and fun.
集合場所 Bauska bus station. Nearest airport is RSC. Nearest train or bus station is Bauska.

主催者・支援機関詳細 2005年設立のNGO・Youth For Smile。2008年からワークキャンプを開催しているが、15年初めて国際ボランティアNGOの国際会議に参加し、NICEも協力を始めることに！
企画者・参加者の声 　「モンゴル」に憧れて参加。期待を裏切らない大自然。野菜の収穫は楽しかったけど、建設と水やりは少し寂しかった…不慣れながらも大人数の食事を準備したこと、みんなで文句を言いながらもやかんでお湯を沸かしてシャワーを浴びたこと、寒い中で星を見たこと、ささいな瞬間全てが「非日常」だった（経験者談）。
