開催期間 2025/08/17(日)~2025/09/06(土)
背景 The Association Togolaise des Volontaires au Travail (ASTOVOT), with over 60 years' experience, welcomes a large number of international volunteers every year for voluntary projects lasting from 3 weeks to 12 months in Togo. These projects, which also involve around 200 national volunteers, promote intercultural exchanges. A member of the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCSVI-UNESCO) and the Network of Africa Voluntary Organisations (NAVO), ASTOVOT works with organisations in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. Its projects focus on community development, particularly in the fields of education, health, the environment and the renovation of social and community infrastructures.
仕事内容 Sinai is one of ASTOVOT's partner orphanages, taking in children aged 5 to 16. Every morning, the children go to school and spend the rest of the day at the orphanage, where they receive a basic education, health care, daily meals and clothing. Due to limited financial resources, the orphanage is facing problems with its dilapidated premises. To remedy this situation, ASTOVOT, as a partner of Sinai, is organising a solidarity camp to renovate some of the children's dormitories.

Aims of the Project:

The aim is to provide the children of the Sinai orphanage with a pleasant, clean and stimulating environment, conducive to their development and well-being. The aim is to create a safe and welcoming environment where each child feels at home, while encouraging their personal and social development. At the same time, efforts will be made to improve hygiene conditions, by ensuring the cleanliness of the premises and the quality of the sanitary facilities. The aim of this commitment is to provide a place where children can grow up in optimum conditions of health and care, enabling them to grow up

WORKS:
- Empty the dormitories, removing all the children's furniture and belongings.
- Paint the walls: choose paints, sand, apply whitewash, paint, decorate and clean.
- Wash and clean the floor thoroughly.
- Organise and clean the children's belongings before returning them to the dormitories: installation, layout, maintenance and repairs.
- Teach the children how to organise and store their belongings in the dormitories.
宿泊 Accommodation is simple and adapted to each project site. Volunteers are accommodated in rooms of three or four, with the mix depending on how the groups are organised. Depending on the location, dry toilets and waterless showers can be used. The association provides plastic or foam mats, and volunteers can bring their own sleeping bags if necessary. Drinking water is available on site, but access to electricity and the Internet may be limited due to load shedding and difficulties accessing the network. FOOD: During the workcamp, the volunteers will prepare their own meals. An internal organisation will divide the domestic tasks, including cooking, between the groups on an alternating basis. The food used will be a mixture of local, imported and sometimes organic products. The diet of each volunteer will be taken into account when preparing meals. In addition, volunteers will have access to a variety of tropical fruits, such as bananas, oranges, pineapples, mangoes, avocados, papayas, etc.
場所 Kpalim? City (Kloto). Kpalim?, around 1h30 from Lom?, is a haven of natural beauty. Situated in south-west Togo, the region surrounding the town is lush and fertile, lined with wooded hills, deep valleys and small farming villages. Kpalim? is also the country's main craft centre, home to numerous artists and artisans, including woodcarvers, batikeurs, potters, weavers and calabash makers. Nature walks and hikes allow you to discover the paths leading to the daily life of the inhabitants, who are mainly farmers.

Leisure activities:
In addition to the main activities of the workcamp, several other activities are offered, such as discovery walks, hikes, festive outings and cultural encounters. These activities give volunteers the opportunity to interact with local people and discover Togolese culture. At weekends, group excursions are organised by the volunteers and their leaders to explore the region's tourist sites. It is important to note that the cost of excursions and outings is not included in the participation fee.
集合場所 When you arrive at Lom? airport, a member of the organisation will meet you and take you to your accommodation in Lom?. Taxis from the airport to the hotel cost between ?10 and ?15. Transport to Kpalim? is by bush taxi or minibus. ASTOVOT's head office, where the volunteers meet and where the project starts, is 121 km from Lom?, a journey of between 1 hour 45 minutes and 2 hours. The price of a taxi between Lom? and Kpalim? is around 3,000 FCFA (?5), but extra charges may apply.
