プログラム名 Sports and Youth Leadership
背景 Sports and Youth leadership is an initiative by Mafia Youth Center offering an opportunity for young people in the community to develop the ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses, set personal and vocational goals, and have the self-esteem, confidence, motivation, and abilities to carry them out. It is an ongoing project attracting and benefiting a good number of young people in Mafia Island. Mafia Youth Center has sports facilities, learning classrooms where youth of all abilities can utilize.
仕事内容 - Assist in organization and coordination of sports activities for the young people
- Participate in cross cultural activities aiming to increase youth leadership skills
- Assist in coordination of weekly Youth talks where various social, cultural and economic topics are presented by young people from the community
- Co- organize and coordinate various youth passion activities like arts, music performance, exhibitions, workshops etc. with the aim of enhancing youth leadership skills in the community
- Participating in various Youth community action activities including volunteering, awareness raising on various development issues.
- Teaching Foreign languages: English, French, Germany depending on the volunteers’ ability. Foreign languages to youth will help them to have access to various opportunities.
宿泊 Accommodation will be at the Youth hostel. Basic accommodation facilities like water, electricity and toilets will be available. Rooms will be shared. Food will be provided at the project designated site. Vegetarian meals will be available.
場所 Mafia Island [COAST]. Mafia Island is located along the eat cost of Tanzania. It offers a good variety of places to visit including Marine Park, swimming and other water sports, eco and cultural tourism.
集合場所 Volunteers will be picked up at Mafia Airport or Kilindoni sea Port on arrival. Volunteer wishing to inter the island by ship may be picked up in Dar es Salaam and have organized trip to Mafia Island, this will be done on request and more details will be provided.. Nearest airport is DAR. Nearest train or bus station is The nearest bus/Ferry terminal is Kilindoni sea Port in the Mafia town. Connecting ferry to Mafia Island is at Nyamisati Port located South of Dar es Salaam city..
追加登録費 300 EUR（募集時のレートでは約48,000円）/月をまとめて現地到着時に現金払い。
資格 Age 18-99. The volunteer's English level should be sufficient for daily communication and comprehension. C2 level is not required.
備考 This project is suitable for a person who enjoys working outdoors, willing to share leadership roles, and having a sense of adventure. Those who are interested in other cultures, working with children, open minded, flexible and able to work under limited resources and minimum supervision. English and Kiswahili will be working languages but you do not need to be fluent.
