Children’s holidays project
Volunteers are expected to participate in the listed activities below:
- Academic development: Joining remedial classes on various subjects, holiday homework and getting ready for the new coming semester.
- Love nature: Nature tour in the community to discover various animals, insects, worms and plants and appreciate the local ecosystem.
- Hands-on: Establishment of home garden, Ornamental and vegetable planting, composting, garden etc.
- Sports: Indoor and outdoor games that will stimulate learning, team building and activeness.
- Excursions: opportunity for Children to realize the beauty and natural attractions of their own country for the first time (Waterfalls, Lakes, and Wildlife safari). Wildlife safari for the children will depend on the availability of finance and other resources.

A Child space |Kids Christmas Camp]
Volunteers will engage in the project on Academic development: (Assisting children in on their holidays’ home works packages, preparing various competitions aiming to motivate children’s academic development and get ready for the next academic year.); Games:( Indoor and outdoor games that will stimulate learning, team building and activeness. Local games will be introduced as well foreign ones from the volunteers. Please bring new games to share with Kids.); Nature activities: (Bird watching, plant a tree, Tree feeder, learning about various plants, birds, animals, worms, and insects available in the area); Children’s Christmas Bonanza: (Organizing various sports, games and other competitions activities and awarding the children.

Environment & Photography - Winter
You will visit local projects on environment and conservation. These may include hands-on activities or guided visits, such as outdoor cleanup tasks, a local fauna and/or flora exhibition or an Icelandic culture museum. Some of these activities are dependent on weather conditions, as on the availability of our partners. You will also have time to put the theory about photography into practice while exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant are selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS' social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.

OLD HOUSE RENOVATION and CULTURE EXCHANGE IN XILUO
・西螺エコ博物館とバックパッカーハウスの日常清掃、財団のソーシャルメディア、ウェブサイト、ブログ、フェイスブックの管理と更新。また、ガーデニングをしたり、環境コミュニティのイベントに参加したりする可能性もあり。地元ボランティアのサポートあり。
・文化交流として、ボランティアは輪番制でゲストをもてなしたり、受付で様々な業務を手伝う。カンフー、手人形劇など西螺の文化の体験と母国の文化を融合させ、独創的なアイデアを実行する。
・学校やコミュニティカレッジでの英語教育に参加する機会あり。

Experience the life
このプロジェクトは主に2つの要素で構成されています。1つ目は、自営に取り組む家庭の収入向上を支援するもので、家庭菜園や家族経営の作業場、苗木育成などが含まれます。2つ目は、地域の村々を訪れ、自助グループ、若者、寺院や幼稚園といった地元の施設と交流する活動です。これにより、ボランティアは自身の暮らしや文化、経験を地域の人々と分かち合い、地域社会と深いつながりを築く機会を得られます。

PERMACULTURE (SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRODUCTION)
As a volunteer, you will collaborate with the farmer s VIN, which specializes in permaculture. The work is typically hands-on, and you ll design the farm according to permaculture principles, including cultivating crops, weeding, irrigating, gathering materials, digging, and creating beds. Support farmers in making organic fertilizers like compost. Observe, interact, learn and implement.

Hveragerdi - Health & Environment 地熱利用の温室で野菜栽培、ハーブティー作り
NLFIリハビリテーション＆ヘルスクリニックはアイスランドのナチュラルヘルス協会の一部。林業、ガーデニング、温室などの園芸・環境部門があり、オーガニック／ビオ農業を実践している。
ボランティアは温室で、草取り、トマトやキュウリなどの野菜の植え付け、収穫、アイスランド産のハーブを使ったお茶作りを行う。また雑草除去やガーデニング、必要に応じて、敷地内の改修工事。農業（土を耕し、作物を植え、育て、収穫）、園芸（果物、野菜、植物の栽培）の手伝い。冬期には除雪作業も。
天候は急変することがあり、作業内容は天候に大きく左右される。屋外での作業に適した服装と、暖かい温室内での作業に適した服装を準備すること。
作業時間は通常午前8時から午後3時まで。午前中にコーヒーブレイクあり、昼食休憩は1時間。

Solheimar - The Ecovillage 障がい者と共に暮らすエコビレッジで農業
主な仕事は、Olurと呼ばれる林業と、Sunnaと呼ばれる温室での作業。温室では野菜の植え付けや収穫、雑草の管理、時にはガーデニング。敷地内のペンキ塗りや修理。冬は住民の散歩道を確保する除雪作業も。作業時間は朝9時から夕方4時まで。コーヒーブレイクと、1時間の昼食休憩がある
「アイスランドの天候が気に入らなければ、5分も待てば変わるかもしれない」と言われるように、天候に左右されるため、作業の内容は臨機応変に対応する。ここは特別なニーズのある人もない人も一緒に暮らし、働くコミュニティ。Solheimarは、有機農業を実践したパイオニアで、有機認証を受けた温室、林業、樹木園がある。その他の環境に優しいプロジェクトには、地熱発電やリサイクルなどがある

Aurora Hunting & Renovation 建物の建設や改修。夜はオーロラ観測
サステイナブル・センターの改修とメンテナンス。過去のボランティアによる建設作業を継続する。熟練した現場監督と一緒に、コミュニティが使用する住宅や新しい建物の建設、既存のコミュニティの建物の改修、地域のインフラ改善を行う。作業内容は、各ボランティアのスキルや知識にもよるが、主にペンキ塗り、掃除、小物の修理、大工や建築の基礎知識の習得など。地域社会のニーズを第一に考えているため、その時々の地域のニーズによって活動内容が変わることもある。
作業だけでなく、アイスランドの冬といえば、オーロラハンティング! キャンプ期間中、夜間はオーロラ観測を行うので、素晴らしいユニークな現象を写真に収めるチャンス。アイスランドでオーロラを見るには、9月から4月の間がベストシーズン。真冬のアイスランドは日照時間が2～4時間しかないため、オーロラ狩りのチャンスは無限（※但し滞在中必ずオーロラが見られるとは限らない）
