Ban Koh Nang Kham: Creative English Teaching 湖に浮かぶ小島の学校で英語を教える
ソンクラー湖のほとりにある南タイの小さなムスリム・コミュニティで、地元の学校の子どもたちのために活動を企画し、村人たちと生活を共にする。生徒たちと一緒に創造的な活動を企画・実施。活動は教師の監督のもとで行われる。ボランティアのスキルに応じて、1年生から9年生までの各クラスで、週に2回（1回1時間）の活動を担当。1回の授業は英語学習を中心に行い、もう1回は内容を自由に決めることができる。学校の外では、一部の村人がボランティアを招いて、ソンクラー湖の地元漁師の生活について学んだり、その他の共通の活動の企画を予定している

・手工芸（P. Yoiさんは地域文化の専門家であり、地元の知恵や技術を後世に伝える活動を行っている。彼女はよく地域のクラフトイベントやエコツーリズム活動に招かれ、自身でも染め物やカゴ編みなどの多様な技術を実践する）
・食文化の学び（タイ料理やタイの伝統菓子などの加工や調理を学ぶ機会がある。日常の中で、食材の使い方や保存法なども体験できる）
・地域の子どもたちとの活動（近隣の小さな学校で、子どもたちと一緒に遊び、学ぶ）
タイ文化と言語の学び（生活を通して、タイ語や地域文化への理解を深める。P. Yoiさんや地域の人々との交流を通して、自然に学べる）

・その他、にんにくなどの作物を育てる共同農作業に取り組み、英語教師と協力して地元の学校での英語授業にも貢献。仏教の実践や地域の宗教・文化行事にも積極的に参加し、コミュニティとのつながりを深める。地元の人々と共にハーブを使った活動を行いながら、料理を通じた交流を楽しむ。

Sustainable living: Family adventure (FAMILY CAMP)
Maintenance of organic vegetable gardens that will include composting activities, weeding, watering plants, as well as participating in organizing educational activities on sustainable living & healthy eating. Volunteers will have an opportunity to participate in an activity of collecting various species of herbs and medicinal plants and establish garden/demo plots for education purposes. Expect as well to work on biogas plants by feeding animals waste to generate gas. Special activities for children accompanied by their parents/guardians on nature conservation will be organized.

Sustainable future
The project is organized along four themes:
- Holistic worldview: The big picture: why do we need to be developing sustainable communities? Listening to nature, celebrating life, discerning your role and creating your dream.
1) Ecological: Bioregionalism, defining a watershed, introduction to local food issues and permaculture techniques.
2) Social: Building and embracing diversity, introductory communication skills.
3) Economic: Shifting the global economy to sustainability, understanding the global versus local argument, analyzing your ecological foot print careers in sustainability.
4) Hands-on activities may include: Maintenance of organic vegetable gardens that will include composting activities, weeding, watering plants. Others are maintenance of bio gas plant, bio gas cooking and other alternative technologies.

3) Nature activities (Bird watching, plant a tree, Tree feeder, learning about various plants, birds, animals, worms, and insects available in the area); and academic development activities (After school hour home works, various competitions aiming to motivate children’s academic development).
