Sustainable renovations and gardening in a heritage landscape

Volunteers participate in the renovation works of the historical buildings, such as the lakeside sauna and the outhouse, which was designed by an architect. Most of the work is done by hand tools and environmentally friendly materials. Volunteers will also participate in the garden work and may help with the upkeep of the nature trail that goes around the island. A work supervisor with the necessary competencies will oversee the work of volunteers.
Volunteers should bring clothes and shoes that are suitable for physical outdoors work and that can get dirty and worn. Rubber boots and raincoats are recommended as at times Finnish summer weather can be cool and rainy.

Gnist Festival 2024

**フェーズ1：準備期間**
このフェーズでは、フェスティバルが形になっていきます。テントや実用的な設備など基本的な部分から始めて、最後には細かい仕上げをしていきます。毎年新しいアイデアや計画が生まれ、会場全体を装飾する必要があります。その中には、グラフィティウォールを作ったり、看板をペイントしたり、さまざまなアイテムを会場に配置したりする作業が含まれます。最初のうちは、お互いを知る時間もたっぷりあります。
**フェーズ2：フェスティバル本番**
一番ストレスが多いですが、一番楽しい時期でもあります！数日かけて作り上げたフェスティバルに、いよいよたくさんのお客さんを迎えます。ボランティアは、それぞれ異なる場所でのシフトに入ります。たとえば、入場口、フェスティバルエリア、トイレ清掃、その他の仕事などです。もちろん、楽しんだりリラックスしたりする時間もたくさんあります。

**フェーズ3：後片付け**
ゲストが帰り始める日曜日の朝から始まります。すべての設備を片付けていきます。通常、日曜日はこの作業で一日が終わり、月曜日には荷造りとお別れの時間を取ることができます。

**自由時間**
キャンプ期間がとても短いため、完全な休みの日はありません。フェスティバルが近づくにつれて、やることも増えていきます。火曜から木曜までは、朝10時から夜8時までが作業時間となります。金曜と土曜は、必要なシフトは数件のみで、それ以外の時間は自由です。デンマークの人々と交流したり、フェスティバルを体験したりすることができます。

ボランティアは、ケノゼロ国立公園のスタッフと共に、古いフェンスを解体し、新たに設置するオープンエア展示スタンドの塗装・メンテナンス作業を行います。作業は屋外での肉体労働が多いため、体力に自信がある方に向いています。

滞在中、ボランティアは博物館、礼拝堂、エコトレイルを探索したり、伝統工芸や職人技術のワークショップに参加したり、湖上をめぐる美しいボートツアーも楽しめます。

Leinikki

春から秋にかけて、電子式の「Babboeコーヒーバイク」が街を巡回し、無料の飲み物や軽食を提供しながら、地域の人々との交流の場を作っている。軽食には、大手食品卸売業者から仕入れた余剰食品をLeinikkiで調理したものが含まれる。夏には、7歳から11歳の子どもたちを対象としたサマーキャンプが開催され、ボランティアは子どもたちと一緒に遊び、工作活動を行う。このワークキャンプでは、これらの活動に参加し、地域コミュニティの一員として貢献する機会が得られる。ボランティアは、キャンプの一員としてサッカーやその他のゲームをしたり、屋外で子どもたちと過ごしたりする。また、電子コーヒーバイクに乗り、地域の人々と交流しながら飲み物を提供する。

LEPANIIDI ORGANIC FARM 1　羊とヤギの有機ファームで搾乳、ベリー摘み

Lepaniidi Farmは、肉と羊毛を生産するために約100頭の羊と、ミルクとチーズを生産するために20頭以上のヤギを飼育。放牧、餌やり、ヤギの乳搾り、牛乳の加工、ベリーや野菜の収穫。朝はヤギの乳搾り、昼はベリーや果物（イチゴ、ラズベリー、カシス）を摘んでジャムやジュースを作ったり、菜園で雑草を取ったり、野菜を収穫したりする。夏の終わりには、主に野菜（ジャガイモ、ニンジン、ビートルート）の収穫と選別、ヤギの乳搾り、チーズ作り。参加者は様々な農作業に慣れることができ、ヤギのチーズの作り方も学べる。
勤務時間は一日6～7時間、週5～6日（注：搾乳は毎日）。
ボランティアは地元のホストファミリーと、家族のように仕事やレジャーを共にする。

OLD HOUSE RENOVATION and CULTURE EXCHANGE IN XILUO

12304;About this Journey12305;Today, walking along the Yenping Historical Street, you can see 142 decorated historical houses in total. Most of them were built more than 90 years ago. A century ago, Yenping Street was the downtown with prosperity, but nowadays, as business gradually declined, the residents moved away from Xiluo and Yenping Street have become quieter. As a result, many houses have started to decay. Because of the Community Renaissance movement conducted by Luoyoung Foundation and local government, the street becomes prosperous again In the past 9 years, we have invited many cultural groups and artists to visit and stay in Xiluo, and host different performances. At the same time, we are committed to promoting the art of sculpture and reserve more than 40 pieces of public art for Xiluo. They are arranged at the head of the Grand Xiluo Bridge and the Sculpture Park. We also hosted 11 international work camps focusing on renovating heritage houses.However, there are many sculptures that need to be refurbished, painted, maintained, and guaranteed. We hope to promote the transformation of Xiluo Bridge into a sculpture art gallery to prevent the sculptures from being worn out.Now, we have also established community colleges to help residents better understand local culture and keep up with international standards.Welcome to make friends with students from community colleges, Artistic creation ,teach English in elementary school, high school, or Yunlin Community College in Xiluo, and experienced traditional Taiwanese culture. Kids for better future

Volunteers will be engaged will assist in renovation and painting of school classrooms; drawing symbols/letters that will simplify reading and learning for early childhood education classes; establishment of garbage disposal sites including trash bins in the classes and provide education on how to separate and dispose garbage; organizing extra-curricular activities to the kids and teenagers (7-17 years old) after school hours. ALLIKSAARE HORSE FARM II 　海沿い牧場で馬の世話や調教・馬小屋清掃

多岐にわたる仕事：海沿いの牧草地の手入れや管理、牧草地周辺の清掃、柵の設置や撤去、柵の修理、馬小屋の掃除。牧場近くの海岸で、嵐で運ばれてきたゴミを清掃する仕事も。冬場の馬の餌を準備する仕事も。最も重要なのは、馬の世話や調教など、馬と直接関わる仕事。馬の年齢は問わないが、若い馬が多いので、経験と学ぶ意欲次第では、若い馬の世話や調教の実践も可能。例えば、仔馬の世話やしつけ、1歳馬のハルター調教、若馬の装鞍や馬車の調教など。主に屋外での仕事。
勤務時間は1日6～7時間。監督や指導の下での作業もあるが、ほとんどは単独で行う。
