Discover Les Garances Asbl, a place dedicated to mental health

Volunteers will be asked to take part in the day-to-day running of the centre with the residents: market gardening, looking after the animals (chickens, roosters, goats, pigs, canaries). They will set up various activities in collaboration with the staff: music workshops, board games, sports activities, etc. They will also be able to accompany the residents on the outdoor events organised by the centre, while being able to propose different activities based on their skills in relation to the culture to which they belong (artistic, manual) too. An intercultural meal is planned to introduce residents to the volunteers’ typical food, provided that the adapted kitchen is left in good condition for the following day's meals.

Urbact Callosa V

The aim of this workcamp is to preserve the natural reserve area surrounding called "Fonts del R?o Algar." More concretely, the work will be mainly dedicated to parks and gardens maintenance or “arboretum”: removing the over-grown grass, weeding some parts of the grasslands and the edge of the woods, maintaining footpaths. Volunteers will also take part in the clean-up of some areas of the reserve where building waste has been found, and if time allows it, they will carry out some painting works around the centre.

There will be other additional tasks to change the daily routine of the volunteers. Volunteers might participate in projects using recycled materials, such as sculptures, murals, mosaics, crafts, artistic activities, or other initiatives requested by the local town hall. Also, here may be a day of social work with the youngsters of the town in the local youth center, depending on availability and planning.

DREAM VILLAGE

In this project, volunteers will paint and organize the village's theater building and library together with local volunteers. They will also repair the parts of the village that need repair. Bademler Village is close to Azmak Bay. A traditional sea festival is organized by the villagers in this bay every year. Water games, concerts, group activities are held in the festival. Volunteers will help organize this festival.

Stage setup, sound systems, creation of appropriate areas for group activities, environmental decorations, transportation and other preparations require the support of volunteers.

In case of additional needs of the village, support can be requested from volunteers. Every contribution to the village is very important to us. You may also be interested in making tarhana together with the villagers!

Family Camp at Kiidi Farm　森の中のエコ農場で、親子キャンプ！

地域のためになるボランティア活動について、大人と子どもがアイデアを共有できる親子ワークキャンプ。
森の中での様々な作業：不要な木や藪の伐採、古木の枝や柴を燃やし農場を暖めるための薪を用意したり、農場の建物の周りの雑用や家事などさまざまな仕事。ほとんどの作業は屋外で行われる。雨天の場合、室内での軽いメンテナンス作業もあり。作業は通常1日3～5時間。残りの時間はこの地域や自然、歴史的な場所、地元の人々交流。地元の人々は仕事とレジャーのためにキャンプに参加する。
キャンプのスケジュール：大人は他のキャンプと同じようにボランティアとして、1日4～5時間の実作業を行う。一方、子どもたちも保護者の手伝いをしたり、簡単な仕事を分担して活動に参加するという意味で、「働く」。地元の受入団体は、おやつを提供したり、ゲームやアクティビティを提案したりと、活動中の子どもたちに気を配る。毎日の自由時間や休みの日には、地元のホストファミリーが遠足やその他の活動を企画。保護者同士やキャンプリーダーとコミュニケーションをとるために、ある程度の英語力が必要。

Waste UpCycling　創造性を発揮！廃棄物のアップサイクル

ポリエチレン製品、廃棄された車のタイヤ、水筒、缶、古い家具、未使用の衣服、エコレンガ、農業廃棄物、竹などの廃棄物をリサイクルし、利用価値のある製品を作る。この活動は、スタッフや地域の人々の起業家精神の育成、教育を含む。RUCHIはすでに4年以上にわたって、廃品や廃棄物、未使用品や不要品を新しい素材に変える創造的な活用に取り組んできた。
その他、ノンフォーマル教育、女性のエンパワーメント・イニシアチブ、環境保護、廃棄物のアップサイクル、有機農業などの現在進行中の人道的活動に参加したり、地元の人々と日常的に交流する。

Seeds of Change

(7:00 ? 11:00 and 17:00 -19:00) (Closed on Sunday and Monday).
Among the main activities:
- Transplanting and sowing seedlings.
- Weeding by hand and with light tools the spontaneous herbs from the rows.
- Harvesting vegetables and helping with preparation and division.
- Picking and tying tomatoes.
- Setting up the fields with irrigation hoses.
- Manually checking for pests.
- Recovering seeds from the crops, for reproduction.
In August, work in the fields is particularly tiring due to the high temperatures, which on average exceed 35 degrees. Prolonged physical effort over the course of days can be very stressful, both physically and mentally. All activities will be carried out alongside the various members of the cooperative who participate weekly, in a spirit of sharing and exchanging
