The volunteer at Hillside Dams Conservancy will be expected to support in the following key result areas:
? Eradicate invasive vegetation in the dried riverbed to allow free flow.
? Design and dig a drainage system to direct water flow into the river.

Tose Respite Care Centre

Tose is home for people with severe and multiple disabilities. It provides respite care, rehabilitation, and training for caregivers. Victoria Falls Musi OA Tunya

This project focuses on supporting Kindergarten education for children at a local rural school in Victoria Falls. Early Childhood Education is key to the promotion of cognitive, physical and social development of children in the first 1000 days of their lives. This project’s aim is to promote access to ECD services to children and promoting the education of ECD children through play. Volunteers in this project are engaged on a day-to-day basis with children in ECD as Teacher Assistants. They provide a conducive platform for children to access educational services and promoting play as the pivot of education for children in this grade. Children in this grade are between the ages of 3 to 6 years of age. Volunteers have an opportunity to be innovative and initiate educational games for children as well as facilitating coloring and paintings. It is a project for those volunteers who wish to be immersed in visionary artwork, painting and play (indoor or outdoor).

Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre

The organisation is failing to take care of the ever-increasing number of people in need of help, hence the dire need of a Resources Mobilization officer. The Resource Mobilization Officer will contribute to Fambidzanai work through research/documentation, social media, monitoring and evaluation and resource mobilization. The ideal candidate will be specially involved in identifying and responding to opportunities for funding. Volunteers will also be involved in capacity and training programmes with a strong bias to agroecology and permaculture.

The volunteers will develop a social health care for the Centre, offer some in house training for the kids and staff members as well as tailor made training Programme with strong bias on Gender and development Programme. Requirements: Basically, passion and commitment for early childhood development and community development is all that is required to take part in this program. Food: Basic meals will be provided from what is locally available in the local community. Volunteers are therefore advised to be flexible and open minded. Turtle conservation in Montezuma

Volunteers will be working in:
● Monitoring the ocean turtle nesting at Montezuma beach
● Signaling of the beaches and construction of the hatchery of the sea turtle projects
● Night patrols for protection and collection of information about the sea turtles.
● Construction and reparation of the trails for public use at Montezuma beach.
● Maintenance of the infrastructure of the project
● Cleaning of the beach
● Support in environmental education activities and communal protection

Cloud forest reserve in Monteverde

Volunteers will be working in:
Most work is done along with the crew of the Reserve on:
● To maintain and to create trails
● To repair infrastructure
● To help with the reforestation project of the local high school
● To assist at the main office in town with reservations and translations
● To assist in the reception with tourists (to give information, translate documents or info for the tourists, etc.)
● If you stay for a longer period and have specific skills, you may also help with research going on at the Reserve.

Butterfly garden in the heart of San Jos?

Possible tasks

- Laboratory work:
Keeping it tidy and clean, collecting plants to feed larvae, transferring fresh food to the larvae, cleaning drawers with water and chlorine, changing organic paper, keeping materials in their respective places, keeping a record of the data in the production sheet (hatching, pupae, larvae, and eggs collected), etc.

- Garden work:
Weeding and pruning the plants, composting the plants and maintaining the compost bin, cleaning the garden benches, ensuring that the larvae have food, eggs and pupae; maintenance of the butterfly feeders, taking care of the land turtles from the turtle pond, taking care of the waterfall in the turtle pond, taking care of the orchids, cleaning and maintaining order in the cellar, etc.

- Tasks of the Naturalist Guide:
The volunteer has to have knowledge of the butterflies and biology which he/she will obtain after a few months in the project, then it would be possible for them to do the tasks with the guides.
To support in the education of visitors about ecology and the importance of butterflies in the ecosystem, as well as the introduction to the trail.

- Administrative work
Work at the reception, for example handing out guides/flyers to the tourists.
Online/marketing, translating documents and translating the tourist guides, making videos and taking pictures of the projects, etc.
