Animal Farm Othal

You will support the school farm in feeding,caring for and lovingly occupying the diverse animals. Active support is needed for the expansion of the paddock.
You will stay in the former estate of the B?low family, which was built around 1860 and converted into a school hostel. The building is located at the gates of the rose city of Sangerhausen, surrounded by charming oak forests, orchards and fields.

The remains of the Coly castle

Rolling and Cutting Stones in Saint-Mihiel

Gallo-Roman immersion at Malagne, Arch?oparc in Rochefort

Volunteers will participate with the team in the preparation and the arrangement of a Gallo-Roman festival to make the public discover the Gallo-Roman expertise and crafts. The work consists essentially in the installation and dismantling of the infrastructures for the event (arbors, bar, barbecue, benches and tables). In relation to the festival, volunteers will also work on the maintenance of the site and its gardens (weeding, mowing, hedge trimming, haymaking). During the week, the site hosts summer camps for children, and the volunteers will be able to coordinate their activities too, together with the entertainers. Help implement the Tale Festival of Chiny!

Volunteers work with the region's local youth and the festival professional staff (about 200 volunteers) to set up the performance halls, ensure stewardship during the festival, help with the organization, and finally re-arrange the site at the end of the festival. The festival takes place on the weekend, and the volunteers will work for 8 days, having 3 days off at the beginning and at the end of the project.

Summer activities with children at the Don Bosco Youth Center in Brussel

Your working days start at 09:30 with a briefing meeting for preparation with the Don Bosco animation team. Then, depending on the day, you will animate activities (creative activities, sports, cooking) or go on day trips with the children. Activities end at 17:00. Be aware that these activities can be very intense and quite tiring. The activities with the children are part of a pre-established program, in which volunteers play a supporting role to the animation team. The volunteers will take part in the classic activities of collecting, sorting, selling, recycling and repairing materials that have always characterised the Emmaus communities. Volunteers will take an active part in the organisation of the solidarity flea market, in the selection of materials and their placement at the market.

Rehabilitating Can Parera

The main task will be self-building tasks: Depending on how much the group of volunteers will advance, we will do any of these tasks:
1) plastering walls with lime mortar
2) rebuilding dry stone walls
3) garden work
4) Naturalization of the pond
5) painting, processing of surplus vegetables and woodwork.

PREHISTORIC EXPERIENCE

Kulluoba Mound is a prehistoric settlement on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Volunteers will be helping the professional excavation team will take part in unearthing the history, and also will be helping the environmental arrangement and cleaning of the site, maintenance, basic repairing work, and landscaping.

Due to the hot weather in the summer months, excavations usually start at early morning and end between 2 pm and 3 pm. There maybe changes in working program hours. The exact program will be available till the summer season. Due to the hot weather, work starts early in the morning and ends in the afternoon. Precautions such as sun-proof awnings are in place.

You are not expected to be experienced in this archaeological study, where you can witness history up close.

Children development

This project will be hosted by the Lutheran Parish in Rongai which is intending to address the walking distance for young children to access early childhood education facility. Distance travelled to school every day by pupil has substantial adverse effects on attendance at school. Younger children at the age of 4-6 are often the most vulnerable to access educational centers. Walking several kilometers every day is more strenuous for a small child than a teenager. Schools are located further from children’s homes. These factors among many others create significant barriers preventing millions of the world’s younger children from attending school. This project is aiming to renovate old church building into day care center where young children from the community can access early childhood education. It is also aiming to provide extracurricular activities for students after school hours.

Education in sustainable development and eco-citizen actions

Description:
Educating children to protect the environment and listening to their views on the subject is a guarantee for the future of our planet.
The Education Project on Sustainable Development, Eco-citizenship and Climate Change is an initiative that aims to educate and engage young Togolese in the fight against climate change and environmental protection.
Aims:
The aim is to raise schoolchildren's awareness of sustainable development, the effects of climate change and eco-citizen actions to encourage them to take action to protect the environment.
Works:
- Activity 1: Introductory workshop on sustainable development, climate change and eco-citizenship. The aim is to build the capacity of young people in Kpalim? to understand the concept of sustainable development, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), eco-citizen actions and climate change.
- Activity 2: Planting fruit trees in a school in Kpalim?. In these activities, the young people trained will have the opportunity to plant trees in a school.
- Activity 3: Creation of a club called the ‘Green Club’, which will be responsible for raising awareness among other young people in the community and schools, and for ensuring the continuity of activities relating to sustainable development and climate change;

LEPANIIDI ORGANIC FARM 2　羊とヤギの有機ファームで搾乳、ベリー摘み

Lepaniidi Farmは、肉と羊毛を生産するために約100頭の羊と、ミルクとチーズを生産するために20頭以上のヤギを飼育。放牧、餌やり、ヤギの乳搾り、牛乳の加工、ベリーや野菜の収穫。朝はヤギの乳搾り、昼はベリーや果物（イチゴ、ラズベリー、カシス）を摘んでジャムやジュースを作ったり、菜園で雑草を取ったり、野菜を収穫したりする。夏の終わりには、主に野菜（ジャガイモ、ニンジン、ビートルート）の収穫と選別、ヤギの乳搾り、チーズ作り。参加者は様々な農作業に慣れることができ、ヤギのチーズの作り方も学べる。
勤務時間は一日6～7時間、週5～6日（注：搾乳は毎日）。
ボランティアは地元のホストファミリーと、家族のように仕事やレジャーを共にする。

Oasis in Golubinci

The camp is designed as a place for socializing, mutual communication and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities with volunteers from the regular population, who come from different cultures and environments.
Volunteers will work in the "Oasis" on everyday activities with the users of the house. Main activities are activities that the users also engage in daily life: maintenance and arrangement of work and living space; tidying up the yard and plot; pulling weeds (not that one, hehe) and working in the garden (planting, hoeing, watering, crop care and harvesting); sorting of the obtained fruits and vegetables - separation for feeding in the camp, for distribution to socially disadvantaged members of the local community, for livestock and for compost; feeding of animals and maintenance of premises where animals stay; emptying recycling containers with PET packaging, pressing the packaging, visiting vulnerable families from the local community.
The part of the camp will be dedicated to the artistic decoration of the wall in the garden.
