Stories by the lake

Second oldest workcamp in YRS focuses on the natural protected reserve "Kraljevac" and what it has to offer to the locals and visitors.

In order to preserve the important balance in the zone, volunteers will work on the areas around the lake, cleaning up the bank, taking care of the fishing place, restoring the paths, etc. There are, also, some bad plants (roots, invasive species) that need to be removed, so that the eco-system can thrive. Also, some areas with long grass will be cut and restored in order. Benches and places for visitors will be fixed, if necessary.

July Photography & Fun in Reykjav?k

このプロジェクトは、通常のワークキャンプではなく、学習/共有キャンプ。
アイスランドとその文化を知ること、そしてアイスランドの街やゴールデンサークル、レイキャネス半島への遠足で最も素晴らしい自然の見どころを探索しながら楽しむことを組み合わせたプログラム。
参加者はワークショップの時間以外の自由な時間に写真を撮り、その画像についてグループフィードバック・セッションで話し合う。SEEDSのコーディネーターが、技術的な設定や構図に関するワークショップや、撮影した写真についてのフィードバックセッションを通じて、参加者が独自の写真技術を開発し、コンセプトを明確にし、個人のスタイルを確立できるようサポートしてくれる。参加者は写真に関する理論を実践するために、街を歩き回り、探索する時間がある。キャンプの最後には、参加者それぞれのベスト写真が選ばれ、SEEDSのソーシャルメディアに掲載される。

Alvi?ra - Awareness, Engagement & Action

Environmental Awareness

学習、共有、実地作業、楽しさを兼ね備えたキャンプ。ディスカッション、プレゼンテーション、環境視察のほか、屋外清掃作業に参加して環境保護に直接貢献する。清掃活動は、パートナー団体と協力して行う場合もあれば、SEEDS単独で行う場合もある。地域コミュニティの人たちの参加も目指しているため、イベントの一部は一般公開されることもある。参加者には,
自国でゴミ拾いプロジェクトを計画し、実行する方法を学んでほしい。

体験型ボランティア活動として、以下の2つの選択肢から1つを選ぶ：
1. Hellish地熱発電所の見学、地域のゴミ拾い、温泉の湧く渓谷を歩くするホット・リバー・ハイキングを組み合わせた日帰り旅行
3. レイキャネス半島への日帰り旅行と同地域の海岸清掃

Marksburg Castle

Marksburg Castleの城壁保存作業を行う。プログラムでは城壁の構造的・物質的劣化への対策に重点が置かれる。長年にわたって成長した植生が表面の損傷を引き起こし、石材の弱体化を招いているため、最初の作業として、これらの植物や有機物を慎重に取り除く。また、ひび割れや隙間を安定化させるために、歴史的に正確な技術を用いて、損傷した部分を清掃・充填し、伝統的なモルタルで補強する。特に重要なのは、失われた層の再建作業である。歴史的な高さにできる限り近づけるよう適切な材料と技術を使用して、城壁の復元を進める。使用するモルタルはすべて手作業で製造し、参加者は施工時の湿度や密度を調整しながら、元の建設技術に忠実に作業を行う。最後の工程では、表面の仕上げや統合作業を行い、新たに修復された部分が既存の構造と調和し、歴史的な一体感を維持することを目指す。このプログラムを通じて、世界遺産という文化財保存の包括的な理解を深めることができる。さらに、今年は、Marksburg CastleがGerman Castles Associationの本部として使用され始めてから125周年を迎える節目の年に行われるものであり、保存活動に特別な意義をもたらしている

Nature Protection and Survival

プロジェクトの学習部分は、火をおこす、トラックを読む、彫刻コース、弓矢、アドベンチャーナイトハイキング、ハーブ/森の果物の遠足、オリエンテーリングなどのさまざまなワークショップで構成。ワークショップに参加することで、森での一晩の滞在に十分な準備を整えることができる。また、1日4時間、森林官や林業従事者と協力して森林の自然保護プロジェクトに取り組むことで、希少な動植物の生息地の質を向上させ、気候を保護することに貢献。 林業作業は早朝から始まり、サバイバルワークショップは午後に実施。

Lohra Castle

城内や城周辺の歴史的屋根構造の保存活動。実践的な保存作業は、伝統的な木材保存技術を専門とする1名の職人の指導のもとで進行される。Schafstall(羊小屋)では、屋根の構造を安定させるために損傷した木材の交換作業を行うが、その際は当時の建築技術に忠実な手作業による補修部材を使用する。作業の方針は最小限の介入と材料の最大限の保存を重視し、損傷した部分は可能な限り修復して使用する。この慎重かつ丁寧な修復アプローチは、文化遺産を長期的な学びの場として活用する意義を示している。修復とは単なる修理ではなく、素材や歴史的な建築技法、持続可能な保存方法を深く理解し、次世代に受け継ぐための学びの機会でもある

Lauenstein Castle

壁画とスタッコ装飾の保存・修復をテーマに実践的な活動を行う。参加者は城内の歴史的に重要なエリアでの修復作業に携わり、それぞれ異なる課題に取り組みながら学びを深める。特に19世紀の壁画装飾が残る「養蜂家エリア」での保存活動が継続される予定であり、同じ装飾群に属する隣接した空間へも作業範囲が拡大されている。これらの作業では、元々の芸術性と構造的完全性を保ちつつ素材の劣化に対処しており、壁画の洗浄、安定化、修復が丁寧に行われる。さらに、2025年の新たな重点項目として、豪華なスタッコ装飾が施された部屋の保存・修復が挙げられる。Lauenstein Castleでも特に印象的な内装を誇るこの空間で、参加者は複雑なスタッコ天井の修復作業に取り組む。表面の汚れや構造的な不安定性、素材の欠損などの課題に対して、洗浄、強化、精密な再統合技術を用いて修復を進める。この作業では、スタッコ装飾の保存における職人技と素材への深い理解が非常に重要である。ボランティア活動中、参加者は経験豊富な修復専門家や保存技術者の指導のもと、伝統的な材料や技術を用いて作業を進めるとともに、文化財保存の倫理原則を学ぶ。また、歴史的な絵画技法、スタッコの職人技、保存科学のアプローチ、文化遺産保護を支える哲学的枠組みに関する理論的なセッションも行われる

Forest Education: Exploring Nature at Lake Schluchsee in the Black Forest

During the workcamp, participants will have the opportunity to learn basic craftsmanship skills. Under the expert guidance of a master carpenter, the focus will be on woodworking, including the use of tools such as cordless screwdrivers and drills. Since the design of the forest education area is a key aspect of the project, creative ideas are highly encouraged. Participants can especially showcase their musical and artistic talents when constructing the sound station.
All work will take place outdoors, surrounded by the stunning nature of the Black Forest. Using hoes and spades, trees will be planted, natural materials collected, and various gardening tasks completed. Together, a unique and inspiring space for future environmental education will be created.

Urbact Callosa III

The aim of this workcamp is to preserve the natural reserve area surrounding called "Fonts del R?o Algar." More concretely, the work will be mainly dedicated to parks and gardens maintenance or “arboretum”: removing the over-grown grass, weeding some parts of the grasslands and the edge of the woods, maintaining footpaths. Volunteers will also take part in the clean-up of some areas of the reserve where building waste has been found, and if time allows it, they will carry out some painting works around the centre.

There will be other additional tasks to change the daily routine of the volunteers. Volunteers might participate in projects using recycled materials, such as sculptures, murals, mosaics, crafts, artistic activities, or other initiatives requested by the local town hall. Also, here may be a day of social work with the youngsters of the town in the local youth center, depending on availability and planning.

Santa B?rbara Altea Estiu IV

Summer school aimed at promoting youth learning about the value of nature and the environment by bringing them closer to and connecting them with the local natural ecosystem. This fosters environmental awareness and provides them with learning tools, as well as respect for nature and humanity, through activities focused on the local flora and fauna.
- Volunteers will prepare with the help of the coordinators and campleaders different activities and workshops for the local children (we are looking for committed and proactive participants).
- Volunteers will participate in relaxion workshops, excursions, activities in the rural world and natural sciencies, manual and creative activities.

A space free of screens, warm, for learning and fun among all young people and focused on nature will be created. The participant will be instructed and will instruct to become familiar with the true protagonists of the camps, nature and coexistence. They will learn to know, respect and value the land and the inhabitants who populate it.

Knowledge of English is mandatory and Spanish or Valencian is valued.
During the summer, temperatures can be very high, and weather conditions may not be optimal due to this.

キャンプに参加する子どもたちの年齢は、9-15才。
現地のコーディネーターによって組まれた毎日のプログラムの実施を手伝う。主な活動は、エストニアとボランティアの出身国との違いや共通点（歴史、伝統、言語、歌、踊り）を発見する異文化学習を、アート、ゲーム、演劇、スポーツ、ディスカッションなどを通して行うこと。ボランティアは、自国の文化（伝統舞踊、ゲーム、日常生活、名物料理など）に関連したワークショップを実施。現地のプロの教育者、ユースワーカー9名のスタッフと協力して活動する。
